Do you often watch videos on YouTube? If you do so, have you ever seen the following picture?

Actually, this is one of the most popular groups in Johnny&Associates called “SixTONES.”
Their appearance is so cool, but I know some people think they are quite different from other pop stars of Johnny’s groups.
However, this is just the point I want to emphasize. They are state-of-the-art artists and their existance implies the advent of a new era of pop stars.
実は、これはジャニーズで最も人気のあるグループの１つ、”SixTONES”というグループです。
彼らは見た目はクールでかっこいいですが、ジャニーズの他のアイドルたちとはだいぶ違うなぁと思った人もいるんじゃないでしょうか。

1.The Meaning Of Their Name
Their name is SixTONES, but when we pronounce it, “ix” sound is ommited. So, it is pronounced “stones.”
Behind the name of the group, there are two special meanings.
First, “SixTONES” means just “six types of tones” because there are six members in this group and they make their own beautiful sounds.
Second, the pronounciation “stones” expresses “their unique characteristics.”
Just like the name, SixTONES is remarkable and attractive group.
彼らの名前はSixTONESですが、発音するとき、”ix”の音は省略されます。だから、”ストーンズ”と発音します！
このグループ名には、２つの意味が込められています。
まず、"SixTONES"はそのまま”６つのタイプの音”を表します。グループは６人メンバーで、それぞれが独自の美しい音を奏でるんです！

2.Their History
Their story dates back to 2012. All the members played the roles in the TV drama called “Shiritsu Bakarea Koko”, which means “Bakarea Private High School.”
After that, they often worked together and performed on the same stage as one team, but each of them took their own path gradually.
A lot of fans called the six members “The Team Of Bakarea” and loved them as one team, so the fact that they acted apart made some fans sad.
彼らのストーリーは、2012年まで遡ります。メンバー全員が”私立バカレア高校”というテレビドラマで俳優として活動しました。
その後、彼らは一緒に働くことが多くなり、１つのチームとして同じステージでパフォーマンスすることもありました。しかし、彼らのそれぞれは、だんだんと各々の道を歩くことになったんです。
たくさんのファンが、この６人のことを”バカレア組”と呼び、６人をまるっと愛していました。だから、彼らがバラバラに活動する事実に、悲しんだファンもいました。
Three years later, however, they gathered again, and became members of the same group, SixTONES!
It goes without saying that their fans were so happy to hear the news.
They haven’t released their own CDs yet, but their skill and popularity are in the same level of those of groups which have already made their debut.
しかしその３年後、彼らはまた集結しました。そして、SixTONESという同じグループのメンバーになったのです！この知らせを聞いて、ファンが大喜びしたのは言うまでもありません。

3.Their Performance
I strongly believe that each of them is one of the best singers and dancers of all pop stars in Japan, so I want more people around the world to know SixTONES.
わたしは彼らのそれぞれが、日本のアイドルのうち最も優れた歌手でありダンサーのうちの1人であると、強く信じています。だから、世界中のもっと多くの人に、SixTONESを知ってほしいです。
In addition to the top level performance on the stage, they have another side like good “comedians.”
When they talk freely, all the members always make good use of their unique sense of humor, so they sometimes become out of control!
When we go to their concert, they provide a glimpse of such their daily life, and this is very the symbol of their precious relationship and all their fans love, too. They have even the interesting song, which is called “Mr. ZUDON.”

He has an American father and a Japanese mother, so he is very good at speaking English.
His vibe is just that of Hollywood star.
His dynamic dance and overwhelming singing talent can be triggers to spread this group all over the world. He can compose music and write lyrics, too.

Moreover, despite he is very cool and talented, he always creates unique jokes. He even made an interesting song.
